Yohimbe, also written as johimbi, is a stately evergreen belonging to the Rubiaceae family. Native to the lowland forests of western and central Africa, this tree has grey to reddish-brown bark and oval shaped leaves that are grouped into threes.

Yohimbe bark has a long history of use as a reproductive stimulant in traditional West African herbalism. The bark contains the alkaloid, yohimbine, thought to be responsible for many of the botanical’s favorable qualities.
